  • Hi,
I'm in good health now, exercise a good deal, but recently I have been finishing 6 months of Coumadin (blood anti-clotting treatment) because while recovering from slipping on ice I had a clot break loose from within a leg vein and go to my lung (Pulmonary Embolism). I mention all this because DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) can sometimes result from lack of leg movement. So while I believe in research, I also think you should insure your care givers are sensitive to any possibility of DVT Clot breaking loose if you indeed develope one, especially as you come out of the end of bed rest. Wish you well, and hopefully this bit of advice is not needed but I wish my emergency room dotors had mentioned something like this to me when I first was injured.
